Maldives is an archipelago of 26 atolls located southwest of Sri Lanka. The islands are in the center of the ancient maritime trade route where east meets the west. Maldives was known by many sobriquets. Ancient seafarers called Maldives ‘the flowers of the indies’, ‘Pearl necklace of the Indian Ocean’, ‘the cowry isles’ by Arab merchants and ‘the sunny side of life’ by present day tourists.
Maldivians share a homogeneous culture, language and religion. The origins of the people are believed to be of Dravidian descendants, now mixed with other ethnicity that passed through during the ancient maritime. Maldivians are also known as Dhivehin in local Dhivehi language, their friendliness and hospitality are exemplified by the distinct culture of songs and dance.
In the Maldives there are over 90 exclusive tourist resorts to choose from. By exclusive we mean that each island has only 1 tourist resort. And each island so small, you can walk around most in half an hour. None of the buildings in it are taller than its palm trees. It is like staying in your private island, cocooned by green palm trees. Add to that the endless ocean blues that is the view from your bungalow located on the isolated white sandy beach. Or sometimes right on the blue waters, when it is called a water villa. We have great relationships with resort operators across the Maldives, so all you have to do is tell us where you want to stay.
We are happy to take care of you from the time you book your stay at a resort, at your arrival, and throughout your holiday in our splendid islands, up until it is time for you to board your flight back home.
