TOUR ITINERARY

 

Day 01 :: Arrival at Cochin / Thrissur (80 Kms/ 1 Hr)
Arriveat Cochin international airport. Our representative/ officer will receive you with warm welcome and assist you to drive to Thrissur. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 02 :: Thrissur / William Fort (30 Kms/ 45 minutes)/ Thrissur
After a relaxed breakfast drive to Chettuva to visit William fort or Chettuva Fort-William Fort is an imposing structure located at Chettuva, a small village in Thrissur District of Kerala. The construction of the fort was started by the Dutch in 1714. The fort was captured by Tipu Sultan and was demolished partially. Spreading across 5 acres of land, the walls of the fort are about 12 ft thick. Due to neglect, the fort is now in a bad shape.Later drive back to Thrissur.

Day 03 :: Thrissur/ Guruvayur (30 Kms/ 45 minutes)/ Thrissur
After breakfast drive to Guruvayoor. OnArrivalvisit Mammiyoor Temple and Annakottil, the temple elephant training center, are other holy shrines to pay your homage. Also visit Guruvayoor Temple. Later drive back to Thrissur.

Day 04 :: Thrissur/ Athirapally water fall (65 Kms/ 1 Hr)/ Thrissur
After breakfast have an excursion tour to Athirapally Water Fall:-is located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappally Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area.   Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul.  The Athirapally Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet. A tranquil and much needed escape from the troubles and stress of life. Let the soothing sounds take you to some of natures most relaxing places - the beautiful waterfalls of Athirampally and Vazhachal (Prounced as vaazhachaal). 
The charm of the Athirampally and Vazhachal nature cannot be described by words, Starting calmly from the high ranges, and crashing through gorges overhung with trees, these waterfall is one of the best places in India to re-capture a real sense of the classical idea of the Picturesque - not just calm and sweet, but something wild and natural. Later in the evening drive back to Thrissur.

Day 05 :: Thrissur/ Ooty (210 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Ooty. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel.

Day 06 :: Ooty tour
After breakfast visit Ooty Lake-The artificially formed lake is the gift of the then collector of Combatore John Sullivan. The lake is 65 acres in area. The lake is about 2.75 Kms long and 100 to 140 meters breadth. Visit Botanical Garden-was more than 150 years old. But it attracts old and young with all its colorful plants, flowers, the vast sprawling and well groomed lawn. It was laid out in 1847 by the Marquis of Tweedale, the then Governor of Madras Presidency. Doddapetta peak: is 10 Kms from Ooty. Doddapetta means- that clouds often meet and rest at this peak of the mountains. The peak hides itself amidst the friendly clouds or fog. If the sky is clear, you are sure to have a sight of long distant plains of Mysore and Coimbatore; let luck favors you.Rose Garden-As a part of Centenary celebrations of Ooty Flower Show, Rose garden was formed in four hectares of land on the slopes of Elk Hill.Rest of the day free at your leisure.

Day 07 :: Ooty / Coonoor / Ooty (20 Kms/ 30 minutes-one way)
After breakfast have an excursion tour to Coonnor.
Coonoor:-Situated at an altitude of 2000 ft and only 17 kms from Udhagamandalam, this is the first of the hill stations. Coonoor is a small town with an equable climate that has made it popular as a hill resort in its own right. The main attraction is the Sims Park, which is a small well-maintained botanical garden that has several varieties of plants not to be found in the other hill stations. Viewpoints and picnic spots around Coonoor include Lambs Rock, Lady Cannings Seat, Dolphins Nose, St Catherine Falls, Laws Falls, Ralliah Dam and Droog.
Return to Ooty. Rest of the day free at your leisure.

Day 09 :: Ooty / Munnar (280 Kms/ 6-7 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Munnar. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel.

Day 10 :: Munnar
After breakfast at hotel, visit the popular Eravikulam National Park to view Nilgiri Tahr (rare mountain goats). Visit Tea gardens, Mattupetty Reservoir, Kundala Dam and Tea Museum. Also visit Pothanmedu: Pothanmedu offers an excellent view of tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills and the lush mountains here are ideal for trekking and long mountain walks. You will also visit echo point where one can clearly hear their loud voice echoing within the reservoir. Rest of the day you can spend on your own holiday activities enjoying the wonderful beauty of Munnar hill station.

Day 12 :: Munnar/Thekkady (120 Kms/2-3 Hrs)
After breakfast start the journey to Thekkady (approx. 120 KM) drive through panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations. Throughout this journey you can enjoy different type of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla etc. check in to hotel. Later   go for boating in periyar lake, you may get a chance to watch wild animals while boating.

Day 13 :: Thekkady / Kumarakom (120 Kms/ 2-3 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 14 :: Kumarakom / Alleppey (20 Kms/ 30 minutes)
Take an early morning breakfast and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kumarakom, a beautiful little island, lying 16 km off Kottayam. Kumarakom is world famous for its exotic species of migratory birds flocking in from all round the world. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls are the most admired destinations here. Later drive to Alleppey at Jetty point. Embark to the Houseboat. Enjoy the tradition meals (lunch) on board. Have panoramic view of surrounding villages and the green paddy fields.

Day 15 :: Alleppey / Cochin (65 Kms/ 1 Hr)
After breakfast drive to Cochin. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel.
Later guided sightseeing tour of Cochin city which includes popular tourist attractions
include Chinese fishing nets- These are fixed land installations, which are used for a very unique and unusual method of fishing. Operated from the shore, these nets are set up on bamboo and teak poles and held horizontally by huge mechanisms, which lower them into the sea. They look somewhat like hammocks and are counter-weighed by large stones tied to ropes. Proceed to visit Santa Cruz Basilica- in Fort Kochi is one of the eight Basilicas in India. This heritage edifice of Kerala is also one of the finest and imposing churches in India. Located close to the renowned St. Francis Church, this basilica serves as the cathedral church of the Diocese of Cochin, the second oldest Diocese of India. Head towards St. Francis Church- in Fort Kochi, originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India and has great historical significance as a mute witness to the European colonial struggle in the subcontinent. Also visit Dutch palace- Also known as Mattancherry Palace of Cochin has a quaint charm of its own. The credit for building this landmark monument partly goes to the Dutch, who captured Cochin city of Kerala during the pre-British period. This partly is there because the Dutch, incidentally, were not the original builders of the famous Mattancherry Palace. Infact, this edifice was built much before the Dutch even thought of adding Cochin to their colonial possessions. In the evening enjoy Kathkali dance show at Cochin Theater.

Day 16 :: Cochin / Cherai (20 Kms/ 30 minutes)
After breakfast drive to Cherai Beach. OnArrivalcheck into the hotel. Rest of the day free on the beach.

Day 18 :: Cherai Beach / Cochin/ Departure 
After breakfast you will be driven back to Cochin. On arrival you will be transferred to the international airport for onward journey.
