TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01 :: Arrive Chennai
Arrival at Chennai’s international airport. Our officer / representative will receive you with warm welcome and assist you to transfer to the hotel.

Day 02 :: Chennai Tour
After breakfast sightseeing of Chennai city which includes Fort St. George- located on the banks of Bay of Bengal, was built by the British East India Company in 1640 AD. The fort is believed to be the first establishment of the British in India. The military architecture marvel, it was erected as a trading post. War Memorials-If you want to explore the vibrant heroic past of India, visit the War Memorial of Chennai. The memorials are dedicated to those soldiers who laid their lives for the welfare of the nation as well as those who died as martyrs, serving their nation.Thousand Lights Mosque-The 'Thousand Lights Mosque' is a well-known holyplace for Muslims in Chennai. The Mosque attracts number of non-Muslims as well and is primarily popular for a number of reasons, such as its name, its architecture and its historical and religious importance.Aslo visit Parthasarathy Temple-The temple situated at Triplicane pays homage to Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu for playing role of the charioteer of the brave warrior Arjuna in the battle field of Mahabharata. Evening free on Marina Beach- is situated at Kamaraj Road, just 3 km away from the city Chennai. Extending to a length of 13 km, it is considered to be second largest beach of the world covering the region from St. George Fort to Mahabalipuram.

Day 03 :: Chennai  / Vellore  (Sripuram Golden Temple) (160 Kms   3-4 Hrs)
Morning at after breakfast drive to Vellore. On arrival check into the hotel. Relax for the day. Evening visit the temple of Laxmi Narayan-Golden Temple.

Day 04 :: Vellore / Thiruvammmalai / Chidambram /Velnakanni (300 Kms / 8-9 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Velankanni via Thiruvannamalai temple (Arunanchala Temple) and Natraja Temple in Chidambram. On arrival check into the hotel.

Day 05 :: Velnakanni / Kumbakonam / Tanjore (55 Kms/1-2 Hrs)
After breakfast visit Velankanni Church: Devoted to Our Lady of Health, the Madonna of Velankanni, the shrine at this church is distinguished as Sacred Arogya Matha Church. Fully consecrated to Virgin Mary and the Heavenly Mother, this church has an expanded Basilica. Church Museum:A visit to the Velankanni Church is the chief reason for coming for a tour to Velankanni, which includes sighting the museum situated opposite the Basilica. Later drive to Tanjore via Kumbakonam-Visit Navgrah temple-A temple dedicated to nine planets in the Univers.Proceed to Tanjore. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 06 :: Tanjore

After breakfast visit Brihadeeswara Temple - This temple, the main attraction of Tanjore was built by Rajaraja Chola and reflects the contribution of the Cholas to the development of arts here. Listed as a World Heritage site, it is characterised by its unique structure. The Palace- The Palace of Tanjore also makes for an important tourist destination. It is characterised by its vast corridors, large halls, its shady courtyards and observation towers. It started being built by the Nayaks in the mid-16th century but was completed by the Marathas. Later visit Shivganga Garden- This is a very beautiful park and is located on the North of the Big Temple in Thanjavur. The park contains many good varieties of colourful flowers, birds and animals too.

Day 07 :: Tanjore / Trichy  -Madurai (220 Kms/ 4-5 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Madurai. Enroute visit Trichy. Visit Ranganathaswamy Temple- Tamil Nadu is a temple for the devotees of Lord Ranganatha which is a reclined position of Lord Vishnu. Ranganathaswamy Temple in Trichy is considered to be the first and foremost amongst all the 108 Divya Desams. Rock Fort Temple in Trichy is one of the famous architectural examples in the state of Tamil Nadu; India.This temple is the most notable landmark in the town and one of the main Trichy tourist attractions. Proceed to Madurai. Check into the hotel.

Day 08 :: Madurai Tour
After breakfast visit Meenaxi Temple; - It is one of the most prominent among the temples of Madurai. Thirumalai Nayak Palace: It is a magnificent palace that was built by King Thirumalai Nayak with valuable assistance of an Italian architect in the year 1636. Mariamman Teppakulam: It is also among one of the many things to watch in Madurai and is located at a distance of 5 km to the east of Meenakshi temple. Thirupparankunram: Tirupparankundram is famous for the Pandyan rock-cut shrines that date back to the 8th century that later came to be known as the Nayaka Hindu temple.

Day 09 :: Madurai / Rameshwaram (165 Kms/  3-4 Hrs) / Madurai
After breakfast have an excursion tour to Ramshwarm-  is an island situated on the tip of the Indian peninsula. The city is also an important south India pilgrimage center of the Indians. It is the place from where Lord Rama had built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita.This is the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of Ravana. Both the Vaishnavites and Shaivites visit this pilgrimage city. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple-This temple is the centre of attraction and thousands of pilgrims pour in daily. It is known worldwide for its magnificent corridors running 4000 ft in length and 30 ft in breadth lined by massive sculptured pillars. Evening drive back to Madurai.

Day 10 :: Madurai / Thekkady (Periyar National Park) (200 Kms/  4-5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Thekkady. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at your leisure.

Day 11 :: Thekkady (Periyar National Park) / Munnar  (170 Kms/  4-5 Hrs)
Early morning  have an experience of boat cruising in the river Periyar and watch the wild lives. You will be surrounded by the Elephants, Deer, Wild boars and many other birds. Later drive to Munnar. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at your leisure.

Day 12 :: Munnar
Munnar is one of the most popular hill stations in India. After breakfast we will visit the world's highest tea estates spread like a green carpet over the hundreds of kilometers. Most managers will even allow you to stroll among the bushes. Later we will leave for Eravikulam Park. Here we will be spotting the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex) that can be found in numbers in this area. Finally at the end of the day comes the invitation of exploring the famous Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. Don’t forget to carry the binoculars along with you and will be busy birding through rest of the day. Else we will also engage our self in photography, capturing the pictures of Malabar gray hornbills, woodpeckers, and rare species like the rose-billed roller, and the Sri Lankan frog-mouth.

Day 13 :: Munnar / Cochin (150 Kms/ 3-4 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Cochin. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at your leisure.

Day 14 :: Cochin Tour
After breakfast full day sightseeing tur of Cochin city which includes Chinese fishing net, Dutch Palace, St Francisco church and Jewish Synagogue. Evening enjoy the Kathakali Dance show.

Day 14 :: Cochin / Kumarakom (60 Kms/ 1 Hr)

After breakfast drive to  Kumarakom.On arrival check into the hotel. It is a cluster of little islands, on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala. Kuttanad, the 'Wonder Land' believed to have been lying below the sea level, sprang out into the marshes when the sea receded. Kumarakom, the land of lakes, canals and paddy fields, gives you sheer ecstasytraditional Kettuvallam, are an out-of-this-world experience. Furthermore Vembanad Lake is home to several types of marine life exclusively the Karimeen (Pearl Spotted Fish), Chemeen (Prawns) & Konju (Tiger Prawns).Evening free at your leisure.

Day 15 :: Kumarakom / Alleppey (Houseboat) (20 Kms /20 Mnts)
Early morning visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later drive to Alleppey to have an experience of Houseboat. Embark in the houseboat. Lunch and dinner on the houseboat. Overnight stay in the houseboat.

Day 16 :: Alleppey / Trivandrum (185 Kms / 4-5 Hrs) / Kovalam
After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive to Alleppey via Trivandrum. Visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple: Thiruvananthapuram's most interesting temple i open to Hindus only, and even they must wear wear a 'dhoti' or 'sari'. Still , it's worth visiting -even if you are just passing through town-to see the temple's seven story carved gopuram  reflected in the nearby sacred tank. Palace Museum- The recently opened Puthen Maliga Palace Museum, adjacent to the temple ,is housed in several wings of the palace of the maharajahs of Travancore. The Sri  Chitra Art Gallery has paintings of the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools, together with works from China, Tibet, Japan and Bali. There are also many modern Indian paintings. Later drive to Kovalam. Check into the hotel.

Day17 :: Kovalam
Day free on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Kovalam- Kovalam is just 20 Kms  away from Trivandrum. This unique internationally renowned wonderful beach will get pride of place amongst the loveliest beaches in the world  has been a favourite haunt of tourists since the 1930s. Today Kovalam has become one of the most popular beach hangouts in India. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look. The palm-fringed bays in secluded coconut groves, promise a relaxed stay. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian Sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the stalwart palms and the rocky promontories, makes this beach paradise. This marvellous beach is a tourist's dream come true

Day 18 ::Kovalam
Day at your leisure on the beach.

Day 19 :: Kovalam / Trivandrum / Departure
Moring free at your leisure. Afternoon you will be dropped at the international airport in Trivandrum to catch the flight for onward destination.
